A late Friday afternoon fire consumed a two-story house in Gardenville Subdivision, Brgy. Tangub, leaving 13 residents displaced and causing an estimated P3.3 million in damages.

The fire, which broke out on August 16, was reported to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bacolod City at 5:47 p.m. Firefighters quickly responded, and the blaze was declared under control just 21 minutes later, at 6:08 p.m.

Despite the swift response, the 255-square-meter home, owned by Remedios Juntela, was completely destroyed.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported among the four families who lived in the residence. Initial BFP investigations suggest that the fire was caused by an electrical ignition. Authorities are reminding the public to take precautions to prevent electrical fires, especially during the hot season.
