The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) expects Tropical Cyclone Enteng to further enhance the southwest monsoon, or habagat, in the Negros Island Region, forcing 12 local government units to cancel face-to-face classes on Monday, September 2.

As of 7 AM, classes at all levels were suspended in Don Salvador Benedicto, EB Magalona, Pulupandan, Isabela, Murcia, Silay City, and Valladolid. In San Carlos, the LGU suspended classes from elementary and secondary levels. Meanwhile, Hinobaan and Talisay City suspended classes from pre-school to senior high school.

The cities of Victorias and Bacolod halted face-to-face classes from elementary to senior high school.

As of 8AM, Typhoon Enteng maintained its strength while slowly turning north-northwestward over the sea east of Polillo Islands. The center of the eye was estimated based on all available data to be 100 kilometers north-northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte, or 115 kilometers east-northeast of Infanta, Quezon (15.0 °N, 122.7 °E), the state weather bureau said in its advisory.
