The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released its 2025 “Gabay sa Pamimili ng School Supplies” (School Supply Shopping Guide) on Friday, May 30, providing timely information for parents preparing for the opening of classes on June 16.
The latest price guide covers 195 school supply products across 12 categories. According to the DTI, 29 items have reported lower prices, 17 items have higher prices, and 101 items remain stable. The 2025 list also includes 48 new items.

Notable price decreases include reductions of P5 to P10 on four notebook items and price cuts ranging from P1 to P6 on 24 pad paper products. One pencil brand also saw a price reduction of P5.
“As we continue to pursue President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas agenda, the DTI is committed to ensuring that Filipino families have access to reasonably priced school supplies,” said DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque.
“We know how challenging it can be for parents to prepare their children for school, so this price guide is our way of easing that burden – making sure students can return to the classroom equipped, confident, and ready to learn without putting too much strain on the family budget,” Secretary Roque added.
The 2025 edition of the price guide indicates that notebook prices range from P15 to P52, pad paper from P15 to P48.75, and pencils from P11 to P24. Ballpens are priced between P3 and P33, sharpeners from P15 to P69, and rulers from P16 to P39. Crayons range from P12 to P114 depending on quantity, while erasers are priced from P4.50 to P20 based on size.
