In Cadiz City, a team from the Philippine National Police together with 2nd District Drug Enforcement Operatives successfully launched a drug bust against drug personalities at Purok Bolinao, Brgy. Zone 6, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last December 11, 2020 at around 6:00 P.M.
Arrested were Mary Grace Montañez, of legal age, female, widow, Allen Romias, male, single and Mark Lurza of legal age, male, single, and all are residing in Brgy 6.
Recovered from their possession and control were three pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing of white crystalline substance of suspected ‘shabu’ including buy-bust item with estimated DDB value of Php 10, 200.00 and estimated weight is 1.5 grams, one piece P500 bill that served as marked money, one pouch, P 4,000 boodle money and Php 270.00 cash believed to be proceeds from their transaction.
Likewise, the marking and inventory of the recovered pieces of evidence were conducted at the place of incident in front of the subjects and witnessed by Hon. Jeorgina Sta. Ana —Punong Barangay and Mr. Joel Abelay—Media Representative.
Subject persons were brought to Cadiz City Emergency Clinic for Medical Examination and were put under the custodial facility of this station for proper disposition.
