The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 6 recently concluded its first virtual job fair in line with its 87th anniversary celebration.

The virtual job fair in partnership with the Mynimo.com offered thousands of job opportunities to job seekers who were either first timers or whose employment was affected by the pandemic.

“We innovate to generate job opportunities amidst this pandemic,” said Regional Director Cyril L. Ticao.

With the virtual event, DOLE hopes that they were able to assist employers to find the right candidates for their respective companies.

It was also the first online job fair organized by the local government where 7 local establishments and 1 overseas agency opened its doors for job seekers.

Around 900 applicants sent their resumes thru email and Facebook and at least 33 job seekers were Hired On The Spot (HOTS), while a total of 87 applicants were qualified for final interview, 18 for jobs abroad and 69 for local placement.
