Dito Telecommunity Corp., the third telcom operator in the country has officially enters its testing phase- a step closer to its public launch by the first quarter of 2021.
“DITO Telecommunity enters testing phase,” the telco player announced on its official Facebook page.
The company said that it is now conducting a Friendly User Test (FUT) in targeted areas. The telco identified some of their employees and pre-selected partners as testers.
It said: “We’re making sure everything is ready before our March 2021 launch and provide you with the kind of service you deserve.”
According to the telco, the DITO FUT SIM card and mobile app will only be made available to pre-identified testers and not available for purchase and download.
It is not yet known if a group of testers were already identified in Bacolod. But in some parts of Davao the testing is now ongoing with its mobile internet speed at nearly 100 mbps.
Dito has secured a 25-year legislative franchise from The House of Representatives and was the approved third major telco operator in the country. DITO Telecommunity Corp is a telecom consortium of Udenna Corp owned by Davao City businessman Dennis Uy and its subsidiaries are Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corp. and China Telecom.
