Among the activities lined up are: “Progresibo Distrito Uno” cultural show that highlight the festivities of LGUs in the 1st District; “CASAMA mo sa Turismo”; “Metro 3rd Taliambong”; “Fab Four of District 4”; “Turismo Tatak Quinto Distrito”; “Bugal sang Sixto Distrito”. The festivities will cap with the “Smile, You’re in Bacolod!” on May 29.

It has also organize a Heritage Tour that will highlight Bacolod, Talisay, and Silay on May 18 and 24; Culture Hub Tour on May 19 and 25; and Tourism Officers’ Night on May 20.

In his message, the governor said that while the tourism sector was among those gravely altered and affected by the COVID crisis, yet it presented an opportunity for Negrenses to build capacities and innovate.

“The fact that this first tourism fair since the pandemic began is widely participated by almost all LGUs including Bacolod City, is a demonstration and affirmation of our resilience,” he said.

He added that the event is a good opportunity for the participants to showcase their products and tourism offerings, as well as show their talent in innovation.
