The Department of Interior and Local Government provincial head of Negros Occidental passed away last night after suffering from heart attack and becoming comatose.
Atty. Ferdinand Panes, 60, was appointed as DILG provincial director of Negros Occidental in June 2019. He died at St. Paul’s Hospital in Iloilo.
Prior to his tour of duty in Negros Occidental, Panes served as DILG city director of Iloilo.
In honor of his service to the negrense, the flag at the provincial capitol grounds in Bacolod City is flying at half-mast.
