The Department of Education (DepEd) in Negros Occidental Division will not be part of the pilot run of the K to 10 revised curriculum.
DepEd Negros Occidental Division spokesperson Ian Arnold Arnaez no areas in Region 6 are included in the implementation of the Matatag K to 10 curriculum, which will begin on Monday, September 25.
Arnaez said that based on the list of areas provided by DepEd national, the places that are part of the pilot implementation of the program include schools in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), NCR, Region I, Region II, Region 7, Region 12, and CARAGA.
Arnaez added that for the DepEd Negros Occidental division, the K to 12 system will continue to be implemented.
The official also said that based on the department’s program, the Matatag K to 10 curriculum is targeted to be fully implemented in 2028. The revised K to 10 curriculum was launched by DepEd last month.
