DAR distributes CLOA certificates in San Carlos

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) awarded a total of 26 hectares land to 18 farmers in San Carlos City.

Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Merlyn Sumayo led the awarding of the Owners Duplicate Copy (ODC) of the Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) that was part of the properties of Emilio Geopano with Title No. T-1183 covered by Lot No. 3060 and Jose Paquiao with Title No. P-883 covered by Lot Nos. 1373 and 1374 with a total area of 15.9017 hectares located at Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

MARPO Sumayao said: “It is with delight that we award to you these CLOAs and rest assured that we will continue to assist you through the services of the DAR. Please remember to be prompt in your responsibilities as new landowners as well.” Representatives from San Carlos Assessor’s Office were also present.

DAR as the lead government agency that holds and implements comprehensive and genuine agrarian reform remains steadfast in its service to improve the quality of life of the tillers of the land.
