Commercial sea travel between Bacolod & Iloilo cities resumes Monday

Bacolod City, Negros Occidental— Commercial sea travel between Bacolod and Iloilo cities are expected to resume on October 18, Monday, after the government has lifted the requirement for an RT-PCR test for fully vaccinated individuals against COVID-19.

Oceanjet said it will operate 2 trips between Bacolod and Iloilo starting Monday. Bacolod to Iloilo trips are scheduled at 5:45AM and 8:50AM. Trips from Iloilo will depart by 7:20AM and another trip at 2:30PM.

Operators of Weesam and Supercat are yet to release their schedules.

For Bacolod Residents who are fully vaccinated, travelers are required to present:

  • Online BaCTrac Registration
    *Online Health Declaration
  • SPaSS (travel coordination permit)
    *Valid Personal ID
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Card from Bacolod

Non-residents but are fully vaccinated are required to present a copy of their vaccination card issued by DOH (Department of Health), DICT (Department of Information and Communications Technology) or any qualified national or foreign government agency.

Bacolod Residents and non-residents who are not vaccinated or are not fully vaccinated are required to present:

  • Online BaCTrac Registration
    *Online Health Declaration
  • SPaSS (travel coordination permit)
    *Valid Personal ID
  • RT-PCR swab results within 72 hours prior to travel date

Meanwhile, the management of Cebu Pacific said it will also eliminate the requirement for a negative swab test for fully vaccinated individuals bound to Bacolod and Negros Occidental. Read here for more details.
