The Commission on Election (COMELEC) is set to resume the conduct of voter registration on February 12, 2024.
COMELEC spokesperson Atty. John Rex Laudiangco said the poll body will process registration of new voters up until September 30, 2024. Registrants can process their application at the COMELEC office where they reside from 8AM to 5PM, even on Saturdays and holidays, except on holy week.
Registrants must accomplish 1 copy of the application form which can be obtained at the Office of Election Officer or can be downloaded via the official website of the COMELEC, www.comelec.gov.ph. The downloaded registration form must be printed on long bond paper, the COMELEC said in its advisory. Registrant also have the option to electronically fill-out the form.
All applications must be filed personally at the COMELEC office where registrant resides.
Meanwhile, the COMELEC said that those who would like to reactivate their registration or process transfer of registration will have until September 7 to complete the process via the online platform.
