To accommodate individuals who cannot go out and register on weekdays due to their work, the Commission on Election in Bacolod will be open on Saturdays, starting February 20.
However, Bacolod COMELEC election officer, Atty. Kathrina Trinio Caña said that this schedule change would also mean adjusting their regular office schedule. She said that instead of a Mondays to Fridays schedule, Bacolod COMELEC will adopt starting next week a Tuesday to Saturday office schedule.
The COMELEC office behind the Bacolod Arts and Youth Center will be closed on all Mondays while the registration of voters is on-going, she added.
Due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19, individuals who wish to register are encouraged to book their appointment online by registering at https://irehistro.comelec.gov.ph/cef1
The online platform is designed to facilitate the process of accomplishment of the Application Form. Online registrants are required to bring printed online application forms, in 3 copies, for QR scanning and biometrics capture to complete the filing process.
