The City Mayor’s Office – Urban Basic Services Division of Bacolod City has launched the INSUMIX Dietary Supplementation Program or the INSUMIX Feeding Program for underweight beneficiaries aged 6-59 months in Barangay Sum-ag.
The program aims to provide holistic interventions to identified undernourished preschoolers and includes sessions on nutrition, parent effectiveness, responsible parenthood, family planning, home gardening, health services, and livelihood assistance for qualified families.
Of the 29 undernourished preschoolers found during the Operation Timbang Plus (OPT) 2023, 23 will be enrolled in the INSUMIX Feeding Program with the Minimum Nutrition Package.
The event was held in collaboration with the Bacolod City Health Office, City Department of Health Office, Bacolod City Population Office, Bacolod City Agriculture Office, and Department of Social Services and Development as members of the City Nutrition Committee.
The INSUMIX Feeding Program will be launched in all barangays of Bacolod City with eligible undernourished preschoolers.
