Ceres Liner, the leading transportation company in Bacolod City, is investing in the operation of modern jeepneys.

Vallacar Transit, Inc, operator of Ceres Liner, shared pictures of their new fleet of modern jeepneys on their official Facebook page on March 12.
The modern units were deployed in Mandaue City, Cebu where the transport group operates a route between Parkmall and Tintay. Prior to entering the modern jeepney market, VTI already operates public bus transportation in key cities around the country.
The modern public utility vehicle that Ceres Liner has developed is a Centro XZU342LJ Type II Modern PUV, in partnership with Hino Motors Philippines Corp, VTI said.
The move towards modern jeepneys is in line with the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program, which aims to upgrade the country’s public transportation system by replacing old and unsafe jeepneys with modern and eco-friendly vehicles.
With the addition of Ceres Liner’s modern jeepneys, this will be a step forward in modernizing public transportation system and providing better services to commuters around the country.
