The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) has scheduled a 2-day power outage in Silay City and Murcia town on October 23 and 24, with a significant power outage that will last for 9 hours.
In an announcement posted online, CENECO said electric consumers in its area of coverage in Silay will experience a 9-hour power outage that will start at 7AM of October 23rd. The power outage will allow CENECO to conduct a preventive maintenance to ensure stability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that will result to major interruptions.
Areas that will be affected by the power outage include LF1 to LF3 of the Lopez Feeders covering Caneland (AIDSISA), Mansiguinon, Lantawan, Brgy. Guimbalaon, Brgy. Kapitan Ramon, Brgy. Patag, E. Lopez, Hda. Pula, Hda. Napilas 2, Sitio Hiyang2x, Tayap Proper, Patag, Hda. Caridad, Hda. Maria Conception, Hda. Camantero 3, Hda. Qinalatan; Provincial Hospital, portion of Silay St., Olaybar St., Villa Hergon, Villa Hergon Phase 2, Hda. Matagoy, Burgos St. Bonifacio St.; Hawaiian Central, Silay, Brgy. Balaring, Sitio Bungol, Sitio Mambag-id, Sitio Beraño, portion of Brgy. Lantad
Areas under Panaogao Feeder will meanwhile experience outages between 7am to 8am & 3pm to 4pm. This will cover PF1 McKinley Road (from Silay Substation to Silay Airport); PF2 From Panao-gao Substation to McKinley Gomez, St. Theresita’s Academy, Silay Institute, Equitable Bank, Ice Plant, CENECO (SFO), Seaview Subd., Highway (St. Theresita–Seaview), Sitio Dacutan Dacu, Hofilenia Subd., Carmela Valley Silay, Hda. Consolacion, Brgy. Guinhalaran, Seaview, Buen Retiro, major part of Silay Proper, Brgy. Mambulak. Gomez St., Zamora St.
On Sunday, an hour outage between 7AM-8AM and 3PM-4PM is also scheduled in Murcia to allow the electric cooperative to conduct its preventive maintenance & servicing of its 30MVA.
