CENECO announces 10-hour power outage on weekend


Bacolod City, Negros Occidental— Another power outage is scheduled this weekend that will run for 10 hours, according to a latest advisory released by Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc.

CENECO said electric consumers along Mt. View in Brgy. Mandalagan will experience power interruption from 6AM- 4PM on July 17 as the power provider undertakes the repair of hot spot and installation of two auto reclosers for reliability purposes at Mt. View Substation along Buri Road.

CENECO is also set to replace rotten poles covering MF4 & MF5 feeders and line clearing covering of MF4 & MF5 feeders. This will affect electric consumers along Bata Subdivision, including GoldCrest Subd., and Octagon Village (Talisay), whole of Mt. View Subdivision, including Porferia Subd., Sta. Clara Phase I, Villa Valderrama Subd., Sto. Rosario, Lacson St. (from Lopue’s Mandalagan to Bangga Pepsi), Mandalagan Highway, Circumferential Road, Federal Johnson Iron Works to Marapara Heights Subd., Bacolod Golf & Country Club, Montebello Subd., The Ruins and Theresa Dev’t. Corp. Subd.

On Sunday, July 18, areas under Alijis substation is set to experience a 10-hour outage as the power provider is set to degassify and conduct Preventive Maintenance Servicing of its 30MVA Power Transformer.
