In anticipation of the upcoming MassKara Festival, Cebu Pacific is set to increase its flight frequency to Bacolod to accommodate the expected surge in tourists.

Erwin Colcol, the airline’s Corporate Communication Manager, announced during a roundtable discussion with Bacolod media that Cebu Pacific will deploy larger aircraft to meet the growing demand for travel to the festival city.

From September, the weekly flights between Bacolod and Manila will increase from 42 to 47 in October and November. Similarly, the number of weekly flights between Bacolod and Cebu will double from 14 to 28 during the same period. To cater to travelers from Davao, Cebu Pacific will also increase its Bacolod-Davao-Bacolod flights from three to five per week.

The MassKara Festival, a vibrant celebration known for its colorful masks and street dancing, is expected to draw a significant number of visitors to Bacolod City. With Cebu Pacific’s expanded flight options, tourists will have more convenient and affordable ways to reach the festival destination.

Cebu Pacific is also exploring the possibility of resuming its direct flight between Bacolod and Clark, which was previously affected by supply chain issues, Colcol said. This would provide travelers with another convenient option for reaching Bacolod from Northern Luzon.
