Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and E.B. Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon led the turnover of sanitary toilet facilities in the town, last January 30, which will benefit 310 households.
The project which is in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental and the local government of E.B. The beneficiaries are from Brgys. Alicante, Tanza, Alacaygan, Cudangdang, Nanca and Pasil.
Lacson said that the project is proof of the Provincial Government’s commitment to the global call for a sustainable and water-secured humanity, by providing every Negrense household access to basic facilities.
He thanked Mayor Malacon and municipal officials for their counterpart support of the provincial government project.
Also present at the turn over were Vice Mayor Eric Matulac and Sangguniang Bayan Members, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, who is also the Provincial Integrated Safe Water Council Action Officer, Pasil Punong Barangay Sharen Belen, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, and Dr. Rowell Gerzon of PHO.
