The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, through the Negros Occidental Language and IT Center (NOLITC), formalized a partnership with the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) to foster research and extension collaboration.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and TUP President Dr. Reynaldo Ramos signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Provincial Capitol yesterday, January 8 with TUP Visayas Campus Director Dr. Eric Malooy and NOLITC Vocational School Administrator Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido witnessed the signing.
The MOU aims to establish a framework for collaboration, allowing both institutions to leverage their resources for mutual benefit. Key areas of cooperation include joint research projects, knowledge and technology transfer through training sessions, seminars, and workshops.
A more detailed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will be drafted and executed once the program implementation stage commences.
Also present during the MOU signing were TUPV Assistant Director for Academic Affairs Dr. Patrick John Delumpa, Assistant Director for Research and Extension Engr. Greg Crisostomo, Extension Services Head Engr. Jovel Young, and External Affairs Head Rutchel Pabalinas.
