The provincial government of Negros Occidental officially opened the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) Talisay Campus in Barangay Matab-ang, marking a significant stride in the province’s commitment to technology and education.
With local and international partners present, Governor Jose Eugenio Lacson and Vice Governor Joeben Alonso led the inauguration, underscoring the new campus’s role as a vital innovation hub.

The newly inaugurated campus which Provicial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz described as NOLiTC 5.0 features a three-story modern building and a two-story dormitory, designed to cater to the evolving needs of industry, academe, and the community.
NOLITC, a technical-vocational school owned and operated by the Provincial Government, specializes in information and communications technology and language programs.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a collaborative effort in delivering Australian vocational education and training courses at NOLITC. The MOA was signed by Sean Mahoney, CEO of the International College of Advanced Education; Alana Kaye Anderson, CEO of Alana Kaye College; and Brian O’Gallager, Member of Parliament of the Northern Territory, Australia, who also witnessed the signing.
This partnership is expected to significantly enhance the training opportunities available to students at NOLITC.
Further demonstrating its commitment to educational advancement, DepEd Negros Occidental received 1,000 vouchers for the upskilling of public school teachers, a move aimed at enhancing the capabilities of educators across the province.
The land for the NOLITC Talisay City campus was generously donated by Antonio Montinola.
