Joseph Mag-aso Jr., a summa cum laude graduate from Binalbagan Catholic College (BCC), has placed second in the May 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
Mag-aso achieved an impressive 90.50 percent rating, marking a significant milestone for both him and his alma mater.
BCC celebrated Mag-aso’s success in a Facebook post, highlighting his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree earned last year.
The post also recognized four other recent CPA board passers from the college: Harren Gabriel Patano and Ren Leuter Aride, both magna cum laude graduates, as well as Eunilyn Martinez and Jewel Loise Esposo.
Negros Occidental fifth district Representative Emilio Yulo III commended Mag-aso in a statement, saying he is one of those who will serve as an inspiration to the graduating students.
He added in Hiligaynon, “Isa gid ka bugal sang Quinto Distrito, labi nagid sang Binalbagan Catholic College.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that 3,155 out of 10,421 examinees passed the examination, reflecting the high level of competition and the significance of Mag-aso’s achievement.
