The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) notified motorists that the Binalbagan Bridge along Bacolod South Road (new Parallel Bridge) will be closed for traffic from February 20 to 24.
DPWH said the bridge will be closed from 8:00 AM to 12:00 midnight to ensure the continued construction of the adjacent old steel bridge, which requires girder launching activity to be carried out.
The DPWH, in coordination with local authorities, has advised the motoring public to take alternate routes during the closure of the Binalbagan Bridge. Motorists are advised to use the Hinigaran-Isabela Road and Binalbagan-Isabela Road as alternative.
The Binalbagan Bridge is a crucial link in the Bacolod South Road, and its temporary closure is expected to cause some disruption to traffic flow in the area.
