The Bacolod City Traffic Authority Office has begun a 90-day trial period of new traffic schemes to address traffic problems on Circumferential Road.

According to a Facebook post from the Bacolod City Public Information Office (PIO), big trucks are now required to queue at the Circumferential-Bata road for a regulated intermittent entry (5-min interval) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Trucks transporting perishable goods, on the other hand, will be exempt from the ban.

During the trial period, trucks will be permitted to enter the city via the Circumferential Road from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., but no trucks will be permitted to enter between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Meanwhile, the one-way system along Lacson Street will be fully operational by next week, with authorities beginning to apprehend violators.

The One-Way Traffic Scheme covers Lacson, Aguinaldo and Gatuslao streets.
