In an emergency meeting of the Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center headed by Mayor Evelio Leonardia it was decided that RoRo passengers arriving in the city who originated from Alert Level 3 areas will be subjected to mandatory swabbing.
The EOC said that incoming roll on, roll off vessels from Dumangas with passengers coming from the Caticlan Port in Aklan, will be swabbed by the City Health Office team stressing that many of them might have come from Manila through the Batangas-Oriental Mindoro route.
Dr. Edwin Miraflor, Jr., CHO officer-in-charge, was tasked to field his swabbers at the ro-ro port in coordination with the monitoring team of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office immediately.
They will be on duty until midnight tonight, he said.
An SPASS is also a mandatory requirement for incoming passengers orginatong from destinations with higher alert levels like Manila and Iloilo City.

Tighter border control measures will be imposed by the Bacolod City government starting tonight. As of today, the city logged a total of 289 active cases.
