Bacolod suspends face-to-face classes due to heavy rains

The suspension order was issued by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent/ASDS OIC Reynaldo Gico in coordination with the Office of Mayor Evelio Leonardia through Dr. Anna Maria Laarni Pornan, head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

The Bacolod City Schools Division of the Department of Education has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes in 7 Bacolod schools today, April 11, as three weather disturbances continue to bring moderate to heavy rains.

Covered by Gico’s directive are University of St. La Salle, Alangilan National High School (Alangilan Senior High School and Farm School), Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, Andres Bonifacio ES II, Education and Training Center School III, A. Arceo ES and R. Alunan ES.

Classes and work in the government were also suspended in Victorias City and the towns of Manapla, EB Magalona and Murcia.
