Bacolod seals P2.1B deal for state-of-the-art command center

High Data Infra Corp. has secured a P2.105 billion contract to spearhead Bacolod City’s digital transformation, deploying innovative IT-Security systems to create a state-of-the-art command center as part of the ambitious “Super City” project.

Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez finalized the deal, authorized by City Ordinance No. 1089, which was recently passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod through a signing of a Build-Transfer-Maintain Agreement with High Data Infra Inc. at Bacolod City Government Center today, March 2.

The landmark project will deliver a centralized command center, intelligent street lighting with video surveillance analytics, and a fully computerized property and tax assessment system, according the information obtained from the Public-Private Partnership website.

According to Secretary to the Mayor Marty Go, this initiative is a key component to the mayor’s vision to transform Bacolod into a “Super City. Benitez is set to complete his first term as the city mayor this June 2025.

The computerized centralized command system will connect the Bacolod City Police Office, Bacolod City Fire Station, Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Through the centralized command center, the city government aims to extend its monitoring activities through a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system installed across the city.

By utilizing modern technology, along with artificial intelligence, the city aims to strengthen its response against criminalities as it will have eyes on the ground.
