Bacolod pushes for adt’l penalties for health protocol violators

In its effort to control the COVID-19 cases, the city government of Bacolod is pushing the city council to strengthen the ordinance against violation of the minimum health protocol.

City Administrator Em Ang recommended to the city council that the existing ordinance be amended to include more stringent penalties for establishments that violate the health protocol.

The recommendation from the EOC came after the allegedly party that took place in the Art District, where people were seen breaching the safety protocol.

Bacolod City Councilor Archie Baribar who authored the ordinance said that the current ordinance which they passed only focus on the mandatory use of face mask and shield and does not cover establishments who failed to strictly imposed the guidelines.
