Bacolod flattens curve; one of the safest places in PH

The City of Bacolod earned praises from Inter-Agency Task Force Visayas Chief Implementer retired Maj. Gen. Mel Feliciano after Malacanang downgraded the city’s quarantine status to Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

In a statement Feliciano said the city is now one of the safest places in the country, adding that Bacolod was now able to flattened the curve.

He hopes that Bacolod can keep this pace as he congratulate everyone in the Emergency Operations Center for the gratifying results of their hardwork.

The City of Bacolod was officially placed under MGCQ for the remaining of December based on the latest quarantine classification issued by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.

As of December 1, Bacolod has 260 remaining active cases out of 5,416 reported cases since the country was placed under lockdown due to COVID-19.

But Mayor Evelio Leonardia reminded the general public not to be complacent and instead be more responsible as he warned the public that if we are not careful, chances are we will face the same problem.

He stressed that the virus does not recognize holidays.
