A traffic aide who went viral on social media for his alleged discourtesy in handling a driver of a public jeepeny was asked by Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez to explain.
In a show cause order signed by Benitez, he asked Traffic Aide Chris Aragon to write an explanation within three (3) days from receipt of the said order.
A video circulating on Facebook last July 13, 2022 the traffic aide was seen acting discourteously and inappropriately against a certain Regie Desuyo and his partner Joan Ducay when he flagged the driver along BS Aquino Drive for an alleged traffic violation.
The mayor emphasized how important it is to respect one another, thus an appropriate investigation will be conducted in the proper forum to look into the incident, and it will be dealt with appropriately.
Secretary to the Mayor Atty. Karol Joseph P. Chiu said this matter is part of a due process whereby an investigation shall be conducted by the City Legal Office. He further added any matter or situation similar to this incident that may occur in the future shall be dealt with accordingly by the City Mayor.
