The much-awaited Bacolod Rum Festival officially commenced on Saturday, August 10, with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, alongside city councilors, police officials, tourism representatives, and Tanduay executives, led the opening of the festival’s Food Park.
The Food Park and its accompanying kiosks will be open to the public until August 18, offering a delightful array of culinary treats and festive activities. The nine-day extravaganza promises to showcase the best of Bacolod’s culture and rich rum heritage.
“While we’ve invited others to join, it is Tanduay’s generosity that has helped us bring this event to life,” Benitez said.
