Get ready for a breath of fresh air in Bacolod City! The local government is set to develop a new 8.7-hectare Bacolod Tree and Eco Park in Barangay Alangilan.

The project promises to be a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
The project that has a budget of P47 million, is funded by the city’s P4.4-billion loan from the Development Bank of the Philippines.
Loben Rafael Ceballos, officer-in-charge of the City Engineer’s Office, said the Bacolod Tree and Eco Park will be a “design and build” project, transforming the landscape into a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.
The main features include a pavilion, a campsite, a picnic area, and an area for hiking.

But the park’s offerings extend beyond leisurely activities. Thrill-seekers can get their adrenaline pumping at the planned airsoft facility, while adventurous souls can use the park as a launchpad for trekking expeditions.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez envisions the park as a space for everyone to enjoy.
He described it as a promising recreational area for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
The mayor said his administration seeks to create a beautiful and environmentally-conscious space for every Bacolodnon to enjoy.
