A total of 454 Persons With Disability (PWDs) received cash from Senator Bong Go.

The cash assistance amounting to P3,000 was distributed to the beneficiaries today, September 1, with Mayor Evelio Leonardia overseeing the distribution at the lobby of the Bacolod City Government Center.

Leonardia is happy that Senator Bong Go responded to his request and found a way to help one of the most affected sectors l by the pandemic, the PWDs.

The distribution is facilitated by the city’s DSSD, headed by Pacita Tero.

Tero said the financial assistance is distributed in two batches to avoid overcrowding. A total of 222 beneficiaries are accommodated in the morning, and 232 in the afternoon.

The AICS is part of DSWD’s protective services for the poor, marginalized and vulnerable/disadvantaged individuals.

Tomorrow, Sept. 2 and Friday(Sept. 3), another set of financial assistance from the Office of Senator Bong Go will be distributed to 3,943 beneficiaries, including fire victims of Barangays 12 and Alijis, and market vendors and other sectors.
