Bacolod expands COVID-19 vaccination centers to barangays

The Bacolod City government has expanded its vaccination program against COVID-19 in the barangays as it sets up vaccination sites in big barangays of the city.

Starting today, the Bacolod City Public Information Office said that vaccination against COVID-19 will be available in selected Barangay Health Centers to include Cabug, Alangilan, Bata, Banago, Estefania, Handumanan, Granada, Mandalagan, Sum-ag, Singcang, Taculing, Tangub and Vista Alegre.

The barangay health centers will offer vaccine shots from today up until July 15, except for Brgy. Cabug where vaccination will only be offered just for today.

According to the PIO, residents can avail their initial shot from the health centers. It will also offer booster shots for adolescents, adults, and senior citizens. Previously, vaccination versus COVID-19 are only offered in the malls and through mobile vaccination drive.

Vaccination for kids meanwhile will be available in the malls from 10AM-5PM on weekdays.

PIO said the following vaccines will be available for first dose and booster shots: Sinovac, Pfizer and Moderna.

Meanwhile, the PIO in its advisory said that 2nd booster shot will only be provided to the A1 workers, senior citizens, and those who are immunocompromised as provided in Memorandum No. 2022-0206 of Department of Health.
