The Bacolod City COVID-19 Vaccination Council has suspended the vaccination drive against COVID-19 due to the threat brought by Super Typhoon Odette.

In an announcement posted on the city Public Information Office Facebook page, it said that all vaccination operations will be suspended by 12 noon today, December 16 until Friday, December 17.

This is in accordance with Section 2 of Executive Order No. 61 signed by Mayor Evelio Leonardia that suspends all work in government offices as Bacolod braces for Odette.

Aside from work suspension in the local government, the mayor also ordered that limited face-to-face classes at the Alangilan National High School be suspended until Friday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) already placed the entire Negros Island under Signal No. 2 as of 8AM today, December 16.
