In support of the government’s efforts to expedite vaccination among Filipinos, Asialink Finance Corporation (AFC), one of the leading and fastest-growing finance companies, rolls out “Bakunado Sigurado” to build vaccine confidence among its workers and establish an accessible, fast and convenient way to get them vaccinated.

By entering into a tripartite agreement with the Department of Health and vaccine manufacturer Moderna through the International Container Terminal Services, Inc., AFC’s more than 500 workers in its more than 80 branches nationwide will receive two doses of the vaccine free of charge.

“Our team has proven that despite the pandemic we continue to provide our services for our communities with great care, teamwork, passion and integrity. Now that the vaccines are coming, we have secured doses of hope for all employees as one team,” said Chief Operating Officer Eillen B. Mangubat. Its first batch of COVID-19 vaccines has arrived, with more scheduled for delivery by the third quarter of the year, at which point mass vaccination of its employees begins. Given a steady supply, all workers will be immunized by Q4 2021.

AFC has tied up with top-tier hospitals nationwide to administer the vaccine doses including the network of The Medical City and Cebu Doctors Hospital.

“Dito sa North Luzon marami na ding cases, at marami-rami na din tayong kilala na nagkaron. Nakakatakot. Kaya ‘wag nang intayin na mahawa tayo. Kunin na natin yung pinaka-unang available na bakuna (There are many COVID cases here in North Luzon, and many we know got sick. Let’s not take a chance on getting infected and get the earliest available vaccine),” said Daisy Suba, Area Manager-North Luzon.

“Dako jud ang pasalamat namo sa Asialink kay dili biya tanang kompanya muhatag ug libre nga bakuna (We are thankful to Asialink because not all companies would offer free vaccination),” said Anna Katrina Banez, Area Manager-Visayas. “Ug abot jud sa tanang isla diri sa Visayas nga duna mi empleyado ang mabakunahan jud. (And it extends to all islands in the Visayas where there are employees.)”

“Bisan pa na layo na mi sa head office, coordinated gihapon nga mabakunahan tanan among kauban sa trabaho. Importante gyud nga naa kay depensa na bakuna (Even if we’re far from the head office, arrangements have been made to vaccinate all of us employees. This is important for our protection),” said Val Vergara, Area Manager-Mindanao.
