Sixty persons with disabilities in Fifth District of Negros Occidental recently received a wheel chair from the congressional office led by Rep. Ma. Lourdes “Marilou” Arroyo.
In a press statement Arroyo said the move was in response to the need of persons with disabilities who have no access to assistive devices. Arroyo who chairs the House Committee on Persons with Disabilities hopes that this can help them with their daily mobility and productivity.
The wheelchairs were equally distributed in 6 local government units in the 5th district.
