Passengers departing from Bacolod-Silay Airport and the rest of the country must download and register an account in the TRAZE Contact Tracing App starting November 28 before entering the airport, the Department of Transportation announces.

In a Facebook announcement, DoTR requires passengers to download the TRAZE App from the mobile store and install it on their phone.

For the step-by-step process, it instructs individuals to follow the instructions given in the app, and supply accurate personal details required to activate your account.

Meanwhile, passengers who do not have mobile phones or other mobile gadgets can go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport to provide assistance in getting a unique QR code. Or, they may also ask a family member to register them with the app.

The QR code can be used at any DOTr Office nationwide.

TRAZE, a nationwide and unified contact tracing app is co-developed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Cosmotech Philippines, Inc., which enables the government’s contact tracing efforts to be strengthened and be more efficient.

With TRAZE, the contact tracing process can now be done in just a few minutes, unlike the usual and manual process. Not only that—you can also be assured that your data is safe and secured, as the app fully complies with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) or Republic Act No. 10173.
