Jobstreet by SEEK, a leading online job portal, unveiled its latest data on the most in-demand job specializations for the first half of 2025.
According to Jobstreet by SEEK’s comprehensive analysis, Accounting has emerged as the most sought-after specialization, accounting for a notable 11.81% of all job postings.
While there is a strong emphasis on STEM-related education, Jobstreet by SEEK highlights a persistent gap between the supply of accounting professionals and the industry’s burgeoning needs.
Following closely are Information & Communication Technology (ICT) at 11.14% and Sales at 10.10%, solidifying their consistent presence among the top priorities for employers. Both sectors continue to show robust demand as companies actively seek talent in IT and sales functions.
Other prominent in-demand specializations include:
- Call Centre & Customer Service (9.98%)
- Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics (8.12%)
- Administration & Office Support (6.43%)
- Retail & Consumer Products (5.40%)
- Marketing & Communications (5.09%)
- Human Resources & Recruitment (5.09%)
- Engineering (4.74%)
Beyond Accounting, Sales and Marketing & Communications have demonstrated significant momentum in the past three months, exhibiting a substantial increase in job vacancies. This surge is largely attributed to the country’s robust economic growth, with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) projecting the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to climb from 5.4% in the first quarter to 6.2% in the second quarter.
This favorable job market according to the report coincides with the entry of thousands of fresh graduates into the workforce. To facilitate their transition, Jobstreet by SEEK is actively showcasing a wide array of entry-level roles on its platform.
Jobstreet by SEEK’s AI-powered platform is currently averaging an impressive 130,000 job posts per month. This increase in listings is partly driven by the platform’s “Free Lite Ads” feature, which enables employers to post unlimited job openings at no cost for 30 days, thereby expanding opportunities for jobseekers across various industries.
“Jobstreet by SEEK is here to provide work for Filipinos because we believe that everyone deserves access to a job. Our goal is to empower every Filipino individual and help bridge the gap in unemployment by connecting them with the right opportunities,” said Joey Yusingco, Jobstreet by SEEK Head of Marketing.
