There is a mixed bag of price changes for poultry and meat products in Negros Occidental this July, according to the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO).

While egg prices have soared, the PVO has monitored a decline in the cost of pork, chicken, and goat meat based on its latest price monitoring.

Egg prices in the province’s markets currently range from P7.87 to P10.04 per piece, with variations dependent on egg size.

In contrast, meat prices have dropped. The PVO reported a 31-centavo decrease per kilo of pork, while chicken and goat meat prices fell by 14 centavos and 92 centavos, respectively.

Hinobaan municipality has reported the highest selling price for live weight pork at P180 per kilo.
