The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is scheduling a 9-hour power outage in service areas under the Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative on October 1.
In an advisory released by NOCECO, it explained that the scheduled outage is due to the upcoming preventive maintenance of the 69kV Kabankalan-Sipalay transmission line.
This will result to a total blackout in Sipalay City, towns of Hinoba-an (except Brgy. Damutan) and Cauayan (except Brgy. Talacdan & Brgy. Camindangan) as early as 8am.
Partial outage will also be experienced in Barangays Galicia, Brgy. Bocana, & Brgy. Dancalan in Ilog.
Power is expected to resume by 5am, the advisory said.
