The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO) is scheduling a 7-hour power interruption in Brgy. Estefania on October 2, Saturday, to give way to its maintenance activities and ensure stability of distribution lines.
In its announcement, CENECO said that the outage will run from 7AM to 2PM as it replaces two 35ft. 3-phase rotten primary wood poles with two 35ft. concrete poles; replacement of one 35t. 1-phase and two 30ft. open secondary wood poles.
The following are areas that will be affected according to CENECO: Sofia Gonzaga Ave. (Scala–Fortune Town Brgy. Hall), Fortune Town Subdivisions, Purok Pag-asa Relocation Site, Town Homes Verde, Camelot Residences, Meadows of Camelot Subd., Prk. Villamar, Country Homes Subd. Country Homes Phase 3, La Herencia Negrense, Villa Lucasan Subd., Capitol Heights Phase V, Abkasa
Portion of Golden Gate Subdivision will also experience power interruption between 9-11AM.
Meanwhile, electric consumers in Silay City are also expected to experience power outage on October 1 & 3 from 8AM-4PM as the electric cooperative conducts conversion of a 64-span single phase to 3-phase primary line and replace rotten poles for safety at Brgy. Bagtic, Silay City. Affected community would include residents from Brgy. Bagtic to So. Lantawan.
