Mayor Evelio Leonardia received the grocery packs on behalf of the City, in a ceremonial turnover at the BCGC Lobby. The grocery packs were then turned over to barangay captains for distribution to charitable institutions and beneficiary families.

The recipient barangays were 17, 18, 30, 31, Alangilan, Alijis, Banago, Cabug, Felisa, Granada, Mansilingan, Sum-ag, Taculing, and Tangub.

The grocery packs were turned over by 7-Eleven Visayas 4 executives, namely, District Manager Luz Almazan, Operations Field Consultant Wella Perez, Area Manager Jed Senining, and Kennyveb Casabuena – Chilled Oversight Manager of Convenience Distribution Incorporation (711 Logistic).

Bacolod City was chosen by the participants of 7-Eleven’s “Christmas Virtual Run 2020 for A Cause” as one of their LGU-beneficiaries.

Leonardia said the grocery items will be highly appreciated by the beneficiaries. “It will matter to 1,000 families in Bacolod,” he said.

“Virtual Run” participants are given a chance to vote for their chosen LGU where they will donate their gift packs.

The focus of the Run Series this year are the less fortunate families of LGUs who will be given at least one gift pack of P500 worth of groceries.
