The Department of Health (DOH) reported that at least 1,477 of the total active cases of COVID-19 in the country are in critical condition. This represents at least 3.5% of the current active cases.
As of October 31, DOH said the Philippines has 42,462 active cases with majority of the patients exhibiting mild symptoms.
Out of the nearly 43,000 cases, 454 are healthcare workers, the report added. Of these active cases, 228 (50.2%) were mild cases, 193 (42.5%) were
asymptomatic, 22 (4.8%) in severe condition and 11 in critical condition (2.4%).
