“More Fun Awaits” as the Philippines gradually reopens its borders and welcomes back tourists for domestic travel and tourism. 2GO Travel, the Philippines’ largest premier sea travel provider, is ready to safely transport its passengers to local destinations which have relaxed its restrictions and are now accepting tourists for leisure travel.

Fully vaccinated travelers with vaccination cards and certificates can enter Batangas, Caticlan, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dumaguete, Iloilo City, Manila, Negros Occidental province, Ozamis, and Roxas without the swab test requirement.

To entice more passengers to push through with their holiday plans, 2GO Travel is offering a 99-peso sea sale, inclusive of accommodation, 50kg baggage allowance, and free unlimited rebooking. Book your tickets from November 11 to 19, 2021, and sail from Manila to Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Ozamis, Puerto Princesa, Zamboanga, including Batangas to Caticlan and Roxas and vice versa from December 15, 2021 to January 2022. The one-way fare is exclusive of meals, auxiliary charges, and service fee.

In addition, 2GO Travel outright offers a 10% discount on regular tickets purchased at any 2GO outlet upon presentation of vaccination cards.

Qualified domestic tourists traveling to destinations requiring COVID-19 test requirements can enjoy free RT-PCR (real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) tests through the financial subsidy program of the Department of Tourism and Tourism Promotions Board Philippines from November 1 to December 31, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Maritime Industry Authority has increased the allowable carrying passenger capacity of passenger ships to seventy percent (70%) earlier this month.

“With the additional onboard capacity, we can bring more passengers home or to their destination of choice this holiday season. We have also placed onboard health and safety measures that are of the highest standard to protect passenger and crew welfare. To date, 95% of our vessel crew are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Nevertheless, we encourage all our passengers to follow safety protocols from check-in, boarding to disembarkation, and to travel safely and responsibly with 2GO!” said 2GO assistant vice president for Marketing Blessie Cruz.
