Residents in several areas covered by Negros Power are expected to brace for a 12-hour power outage on Saturday, May 24.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced the interruption, citing essential maintenance activities along the Bacolod – San Enrique 69kV line.
The power outage is slated at 6:00 AM and is expected to last until 6:00 PM on Saturday.
The following areas will be affected by the scheduled interruption :
- NEPC (Negros Electric Power Corporation), specifically areas covered by the Sum-ag and Hilangban Substations.
- NOCECO (Northern Negros Electric Cooperative), affecting areas within Valladolid, La Carlota, and San Enrique Substations.
NGCP emphasized that these maintenance activities are crucial to ensure the reliability and stability of the power transmission system. While they will exert all efforts to restore power earlier, consumers are encouraged to make necessary preparations for the extended outage.
