11 schools in NegOcc included in DepEd’s face-to-face pilot implementation

The Department of Education (DepEd) confirmed the inclusion of 11 schools in Negros Occidental, including a school in Bacolod City for the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes.

In a Facebook page announcement posted today (Dec 2), DepEd said that in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH) it has identified an additional 177 public schools that will participate in the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes.

In Bacolod, DepEd has identified Alangilan National High School. An objection was previously raised when DepEd included it on its initial list.

Below are the complete list of schools in Western Visayas which will be part of the pilot run. Of the 17 schools, 10 of it are in Negros Occidental.

The education department said classes will start at various dates during this year. It added that the additional schools that will participate in the pilot run will pass various safety assessments conducted by DepEd and DOH.

In the National Capital Region, DepEd said face-to-face classes is scheduled to start on December 6, 2021.
