Residents in parts of Negros Occidental will experience a 7-hour power outage from 10 PM, tonight, January 9 up until 5 AM of January 10.
According to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the primary electric consumer affected are those served by Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO).
NGCP in an advisory said that this temporary outage is necessary to accommodate a request from a power customer and will involve shutting down the San Enrique – La Carlota 69kV line.
In a separate advisory, NOCECO said the power outage will impact consumers in La Carlota City.
During the outage, ISLASOL II will undergo preventative maintenence.
